Youth Spring Soccer
This league is designed to teach and improve the various skills and knowledge pertaining to the game of soccer in a fun, recreational atmosphere. There will be a 7 game schedule, weather permitting, with the majority of games played on Saturdays. Practice will be held twice a week for the first two weeks of the season. Practices will then reduce to once a week starting the third week of the program. Practice days and times will be determined by each coach. Players will wear a reversible jersey that can be purchased for $18 at the Parks and Recreation Department (201 W Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville). Registration is available online, by calling 630-553-4350, or in person at the Yorkville City Hall (800 Game Farm Rd, Yorkville) beginning Monday, January 29th and ending on Friday, February 9th. Spring Soccer divisions are as follows: Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st-2nd Grade, 3-4 Grade, 5-8 Grade Coed.
NEW 1ST & 2nd Grade Recreational Baseball League
New for 2018, join us in a recreational baseball league designed for 1st and 2nd Graders. This league is designed to teach skills and fundamentals for the beginner ballplayer. This is a league designed to teach skills and fundamentals for the beginner ballplayer. There will be an eight game schedule, weather permitting, with games held on Saturdays. Practice will be held once for the entire season Monday-Friday. Practice date and time will be determined by each coach. Players will receive a hat, jersey and ball pants. This is a co-ed program. Registration will be available January 29th through February 9th and will be available online, in person at Yorkville City Hall (800 Game Farm Rd, Yorkville), or by calling 630-553-4350.
Youth Baseball Tournaments
The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department hosts 4 Youth Baseball Tournaments throughout the summer. Tournaments are held at Steven G. Bridge Park (3651 Kennedy Rd, Yorkville) during the months of April-July. Athletic games will be cancelled in the case of extreme inclement weather. Players will be notified of all cancellations by their team coach, but can call our weather hotline at (630) 557-8471 or set up an account through RainoutLine for updated cancellation information. Practices are cancelled by individual coaches, so please contact your coach for practice cancellation information.
